Founded by an international team with top-level experience and a strong track record of execution, Umwelt develops, builds and operates fully integrated, utility-scale eFuel projects that can operate both on grid and off.
Our project platforms integrate renewable power generation, electrolysis plants for green hydrogen, and efuel synthesis plants for methanol, ammonia, kerosine and gasoline. Off-takers for our eFuel products will include maritime and aviation customers, while heavy industry players can abate their CO2 emissions using the green hydrogen we produce.
At Umwelt Energy, we are committed to benefiting the communities where we operate. We create jobs, supply green electricity, and explore ways to provide clean water, heat and other services. We avoid building PV parks on good farmland, we are mindful of local water and grid constraints, and we source the captured CO2 we use for methanol synthesis from local industries – using biogenic CO2 where possible.
Umwelt Energy is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, and we have projects under development in Europe and India, with the Americas as an additional near-term focus market.
